Allan Robert Eich

Mr. Allan Robert Eich, age 50, of Fort Mill,SC , passed away Monday, October 17, 2005, in Lancaster County.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Morningstar Ministries, 9700 Regent Parkway in Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A second memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Victory Assembly of God, 15 Bedford Road in Lowellville, OH. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. for calling hours and immediately following the service.

Born February 18, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio, Allan grew up in Poland, Ohio. He made his first solo flight at the age of 16 and graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1973. During high school, he served in the Civil Air Patrol. Allan was a 1977 graduate of Kent State University having received a ROTC Scholarship. He majored in Aerospace Technology and was the Cadet Core Commander. Allan married his college sweetheart, Susan in 1977. Following college, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and was employed for 21 years at U.S. Airways as a flight instructor. He was an avid flier and was a former flight instructor at Kent State University. Allan was a member of MorningStar Ministries, a born again Christian and loved the Lord.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Eich; his sons, Keith Eich and Chris Eich ; his parents, Robert and Suzanne Eich of Poland Ohio; his brother, Martin R. Eich of Poland, Ohio; and his sister, Karen Eich Leko of Indianapolis, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Needle's Eye, 74 Kenmore Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44502. Local Carolina memorials may be made to New Life Education Fund, c/o Sue Kirk, Carolina First Bank, 100 Stone Village Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
